Concept Art

Here's an in-progress bit of concept art for the fantasy world. This will be for when Grace first enters her fantasy.

Just a quickie

The script has been updated again and can be seen by clicking the tab above.

The final draft of the script is due this week and I'm pretty happy with it but I'm sure I'll find plenty of faults throughout the storyboard and animatic stages and I shall continue to tweak it as I go along.

Week five is well underway so lets see where we're at:

• The script is nearly finished, hopefully only a few more tweaks to go.
• I'm about to break down the script to work out shots.
• I'm working on concepts for characters and backgrounds.

The concept art for the backgrounds is my main concern at the moment, I've been struggling to find the look for the bedroom and need to look around for ideas.

On the other hand I've found plenty of inspiration for the backgrounds of the fantasy land.

My the two greatest inspiration for the fantasy world is Disney's Sleeping Beauty

and the works of Eyvind Earle on the backgrounds.

The other artist to inspire me is Scott Wills who created the backgrounds for Samurai Jack

Due to complaints of lack of posts I've decided to upload a picture that has been inspiring me during the early stages of this animation.
